Coastal, Highlands & Wilderness Heritage Journey

Tour overview

A heritage-forward route that reaches further than most, adding an east coast stay at Trincomalee to the standard Cultural Triangle and highland circuit before finishing with a wildlife safari and Galle Fort. Outside Trincomalee’s recommended season, the route swaps seamlessly to an extended southern beach finish instead, so the journey performs well regardless of when you travel.

Key highlights

  • Dambulla, Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa heritage triangle
  • Optional Minneriya or Kaudulla elephant safari
  • Koneswaram Temple and the east coast at Trincomalee
  • Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Kandy
  • Nuwara Eliya tea country and Horton Plains
  • Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak
  • Elephant Transit Home and Udawalawe safari
  • Galle Fort heritage finale
