Journey to Pearl

/ Sinharaja Rainforest Tour

Sinharaja Rainforest Tour

Tour overview

Sinharaja is Sri Lanka’s last major tract of primary lowland rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where a significant share of the island’s endemic birds, amphibians and plant life exist nowhere else on earth. A dawn guided walk with a licensed naturalist reveals mixed-species bird waves, endemic frogs and a canopy system that feels genuinely untouched. It is the clearest contrast on the island to the dry-zone heritage sites further north, and a natural addition for travellers with a genuine interest in nature over monuments. Sturdy footwear is essential given the uneven, sometimes muddy trail conditions.
